Principle Investigator

Prof. Jianbin Wangsupervisor of Ph.D. student

Dr. Jianbin Wang is currently a Professor of oncology, Director of Institute of Biomedical Sciences at Nanchang University. He got a National award for Baiqianwan Talent Program. He is a panel-review member for National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the reviewer for multiple scientific Journals; such as Journal of Biological Chemistry, Molecular Carcinogenesis, Cancer Reportand Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology.

He got his Ph.D. in the Department of Biological Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995. Then he worked as a Research Associate in the Department of Molecular Medicine at Cornell University. He came back to China and worked as a faculty at Nanchang University in 2011.

Research Interest

The research efforts of Jianbin Wang’s laboratory have mainly focused on cancer metabolism including glutamine metabolism, serine metabolism, ketone body metabolism, glycolysis and anti-cancer drug selection. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers, including Cancer Cell paper (Cover) and, Nature Cell Biology paper, Cell Research paper and Autophagy paper and so on.

Dr. Tianyu HanAssociate Research Fellow

Associate Researcher of First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University/ Jiangxi Institute of Respiratory Disease. Jiangxi Province's "Thousand Talents Plan" Technology Innovation High end Talents, Academic and technical leaders in major disciplines in Jiangxi Province, Winner of Jiangxi Outstanding Youth Fund. His research interest focus on tumor metabolism and autophagy, and has published many papers in authoritative journals such as Cell Research, Autophagy, Cell Death & Disease. Part of the research achievements won the Second Prize in Natural Science in Jiangxi Province. He has presided over the General Program and Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Dr. Yange Liu, Lecturer

Dr. Yange Liu graduated from Jilin University with a PHD in 2019. As the first author (including co-first author), she has published 7 papers and obtained 5 national patents. In 2019, she joined Professor Jianbin Wang's team in the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Nanchang University. Her researches mainly focus on the separation and purification of natural products, identification of new drug targets, and exploration of their mechanisms of action.
