Xueli Bian Lab

Principle Investigator

Dr. Xueli Biansupervisor of master student

Distinguished Professor of Nanchang University

Professor Xueli Bian graduated from Nanchang University with a bachelor's degree in 2012 and a PHD in Xiamen University in 2018. He has completed postdoctoral training at Qingdao Cancer Institute in 2021. Currently he is a distinguished professor of Nanchang University and won Jiangxi Provincial Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2022. His research interest focus on protein post-translational modification on metabolic homeostasis and tumor development, he has published many papers in authoritative journals such as Nature Communications, Molecular Cell, Journal of Experimental Medicine, Cell Metabolism, Trends in Cell Biology.

Research Directions

Our group mission is to advance understanding of the function and molecular mechanism of cell metabolism in tumor development and immune regulation. Combined with metabolomics, bioinformatics and molecular biology technology, we aim to uncover the mechanism of post-translational modification, spatiotemporal regulatory network and non-canonical functions of key metabolic enzymes in tumorigenesis.

Lab member

Dr. Bolei Dai, Lecturer

Dr. Bolei Dai graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree in 2014 and a PHD in 2022. As the first author (including co-first author), he has published 2 papers in Theranostics and Nanophotonics. He has obtained 1 utility model patent and applied for 3 national patents. In 2022, he joined Professor Xueli Bian's team in the Institute of Biomedicine, Nanchang University. His future research directions include: 1. To establish in vivo optical imaging methods and develop tumor molecular probes, and to study basic medical problems visually. 2. Tumor immunotherapy combined with tumor metabolic characteristics.
