I. University Overview

Nanchang University is a national "Double First-Class" initiative universityjointly supportedby the Ministry of Education and Jiangxi Provincial People's Government. It is also designated as a key university for the overall construction of first-class higher education in Jiangxi Province.The university currently comprises 42 teaching units, covering 13 disciplines categories and 96 undergraduate enrollment majors, 27 first-level disciplines authorized to confer doctoral degrees, 4 Doctoral professional degree authorization categories, 18 Postdoctoral research stations, 50 first-level disciplines authorized to confer master’s degrees, and 36 categories authorized to confer professional master’s degrees.The Materials Science and Engineering program is selected for the national "Double First-Class" construction disciplines, and 6 disciplines have been selected into the provincial peak advantage disciplines. A total of18 disciplines rankamong the top 1% of the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) global rankings, with 2 disciplines ranking in the top 1‰. Notably, Agricultural Science (primarily Food Science) ranks in the top 0.214‰, and Chemistry ranks in the top 0.987‰.The Food Science discipline ranks 8th in the "US News Best Global Universities for Subject Rankings." The university alsp has 5 directly affiliated hospitals, offeringa total of 16 national key clinical specialties.

II. Recruitment Disciplines

The university currently features 18 postdoctoral research stations. For specific recruitment directions, please refer to the "Introduction to Postdoctoral Research Stations and Contact Information" (Attachment).Disciplines without a dedicated postdoctoral research station may recruit postdoctoral fellows by relying on stations in closely related fields.

III. Recruitment Criteria

1.Possess strong scientific research and innovation capabilities, along with a spirit of teamwork.

2.Uphold high standards of academic ethics and a rigorous scientific attitude; be in good health andfully capable of fulfilling the requirements of the position.

3.Meet the specific postdoctoral recruitment requirements set by the respective research stations.

4.Direct recruitment of in-service (currently employed) personnel is not available. In-service applicants are encouraged to apply for joint training programs conducted by National Postdoctoral Research Workstations in collaboration with relevant research stations at the university.

5.Priority will be given to applicants with a proven track record of significant research achievements
                                    

IV. Support Policies

1.Remuneration and Benefits

Full-time postdoctoral fellows (including international fellows) are employedunder an annual salary system. The comprehensive pre-tax annual salary, which includes national and provincial subsidies, ranges from 220,000 to 350,000 RMB.Based on current statistics , the average annual salary for postdocs in this program isaround300,000 RMB, with top earners reaching up to800,000 RMB. V. Development Path

1.During the postdoctoral period, fellows could independently apply for various levels of scientific research projects as the Principal Investigator (PI).
                                       

2.Fellows are eligible to apply for professional and technical qualification assessments.

3.Upon completion of the postdoctoral term, those who meet the university's recruitment criteria may apply for a permanent faculty position in accordance with the recruitment plan and relevant requirements.
